Christmas is coming!

It always surprises me how quickly Christmas creeps up on us; I counted on Wednesday and it's only 6-1/2 weeks away! If you're anything like me, you'll be running behind on your holiday crafting, so I'm going to be posting some quick and easy retro cards with great layouts for CASing. These cards use retired product, but you can easily substitute what you have on hand. I'd be happy to make some suggestions if you need to purchase anything! My usual go-to colours for Christmas are Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake for traditional cards.

This card uses tired paper with current card stock and the Happy Hour stamp set for a fun card. This would be great paired with a hostess gift for any of your holiday parties, just change up the colour scheme!

Banners are still really trendy, and paired with traditional colours, this card is suitable for anyone on your card-giving list. I also love how the ribbon and circle focal point look like an ornament; if that was left loose at the top, this card could easily do double-duty.

Sometimes you have a large focal image that just needs a little extra wow. Adding the button and ribbon embellishments here, along with the thin DSP strip, adds just enough interest without taking away from that beautiful bird image.

This classic layout could be easily adapted for any occasion! Make your DSP do the work and add a simple sentiment. The top section could be embossed for extra interest.

I hope this helped get some creative juices flowing. As always, you can contact me if you need any products or suggestions, or shop online at
