Inspiration and motivation

I wanted to make myself a card (yes, just for me!) to inspire me and keep me focused. I am loving the new Summer Smooches DSP that will be in the new catalogue, so I started with that. I also love the look of banners and flags that are so trendy in papercrafting right now, so this is what I came up with:

I then decided to see what it looked like in a frame I had in my craft room, it was a multi-layer glass one that I’ve been hanging on to for a while for ‘the right project’. Once I got this finished, I realised my mother-in-law would love it, so this one will go to her. She needs it as much as I do :)

Products I used:
Stamps: Pursuit of Happiness
Cardstock: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry
DSP: Summer Smooches DSP
Embellishments: Daffodil Delight 1/4” Grosgrain Ribbon

Thanks for looking!

Playing with MDS

I’m so excited that Stampin’ Up! is coming out with an enhanced version of MDS, coming later in 2012! There are 75 ADDITIONAL features, on top of what’s available in the original MDS software, and let me tell you, it’s already pretty incredible!

Here’s what I played at today:

This will be a gift for Richard – he really is an amazing and wonderful person and I am so thankful for him every day. He truly is a blessing Smile

Featured Stamper–project #1

Some of you know that I belong to an online group of Stampin’ Up demonstrators, called SUDSOL (Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing On-Line), and this month I will be their ‘Featured Stamper’. I created this sample as something different to show with the Kraft boxes that carried over from the mini catalogues.

What an adorable little face! Who wouldn’t like to have this on their desk, especially filled with jellybeans? This will be a Mothers’ Day gift for my mother-in-law to inspire her writing.

These kraft boxes are available in a pack of 4 for only $3.50. They can hold all sorts of yummies! I scored the lid so that it would fold easel-style, the adhesive is on the bottom half of the picture only so that the top is free to lie flat when the box is closed, or stand up when open. It is decorated with Domestic Goddess DSP, Calypso Coral and Pool Party cardstock. I also used various embellishments to dress it up a bit Smile
