The end of an era

Today was my 5 year-old's last day of daycare (which he's been going to ever since he was 3). In September he will be starting full-day classes in French Immersion, so we're really excited about that, but it was sad to have to say goodbye today.

We made his teachers these little gifts, and some matching 3 x 3 cards as a token of our appreciation.

I got the idea from Pennie McCallum's blog, she has a tutorial on there for the box and instructions for the bookmarks also. Click here for the instructions!

Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Whisper While and Sunny Garden DSP

Ink: Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral

Stamps: Clearly For You, Nature Walk, Button Buddies, Kindness Matters

Also: 1/4" white grosgrain ribbon, linen thread, 1-3/4" scallop circle punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, sticky strip.

I'm so excited to be starting university in September, and am already planning ways to show Stampin' Up! products on my school necessities (notebooks, computer, etc). I'd love to hear any ideas you have, please leave me a comment below!

Thanks for looking!

  1. Hi Shelly - this turned out so cute! It was so funny to open the email you sent to SUDSOL and see something that looked so familiar. Thanks for reminding ME about this cute fun box - will need to make one soon.

  2. Beautiful gift, Shelly! I love the colors! TFS!
